Need Eyelash Growth?

Posted by: eyebrowgrowth on: January 21, 2010

So what’s the best eyelash growth conditioner you can get at a store like Sephora or ULTA? That’s what I asked my friends this weekend. Their responses:

  • Ardell lash and brow growth accelerator because it’s cheap and you can get it at Walgreens or CVS
  • Some weird Japanese brand that I’ve never heard of and have to pay obscene shipping fees to get
  • Any of the retail eyelash growers that contain an active ingredient but don’t list it. This means you can get it cheaper and without a prescription. Go googling for some reviews like Lilash reviews or Revitalash reviews.

Well, that’s helpful… Thanks guys.

Should I Use an Eyelash Conditioner To Get Longer Natural Eyelashes

Posted by: eyebrowgrowth on: January 21, 2010

If you want to make your eyelashes grow longer, you can find the right eyelash growth conditioner using these easy methods; there are some things you need to keep in mind. What is your goal for your eyelashes; are your eyelashes not long enough, or do you need to regrow your eyelashes and make your eyelash regrowth faster?
First, the speed at which you want your eyelashes to grow back should be determined. If you want to have a natural eyelash extender that contains no artificial ingredients like prostaglandins, you have to decide that before trying to purchase an eyelash growth conditioner.
You also should figure out how much you want to pay to get an eyelash conditioner that works? Some eyelash conditioners like Neova can be bought for less than a hundred bucks, but you might have to spend at least that much to get good, natural extender products like LiLash.
Comparing each of these factors involves reading review after review of all the eyelash extenders that you want to try, so you know which ones work. Just do these things so you have a better knowledge of the finer aspects of eyelash conditioner, so you can get a product that’s efficient, safe, and all natural, regrowing your eyelashes like new.
Do your homework and look into all of the various online stores and shops so you can find out what eyelash conditioners are sold for the best prices, especially considering their value.
Hopefully, you now have a better idea of how to find the best eyelash extender products on the market, and how to find ways to not break the bank when you buy them.
If you want your eyelashes back, or just want them to be longer, you can use eyelash stimulators in order to have great, natural eyelashes that impress everyone who sees them.

How To Wax Your Eyebrows At Home

Posted by: eyebrowgrowth on: January 12, 2010

While I think tweezing is a better way of shaping your eyebrows, some people prefer to wax. Waxing is a popular way of eyebrow shaping because it is fast, easy, and less painful than plucking. Here are some steps for easy DIY at home waxing.

There are different types of hair removal waxes that you can buy. Look for one that’s made for delicate skin or for use around the eye area. These waxes will melt at a lower temperature and won’t burn your skin unlike normal wax. Using heated wax that you apply yourself is better than prewaxed strips since you can control where the wax goes and how it grips onto the hairs.

First, you should make sure the eyebrow hairs you want to remove are at least 1/8″ long. You will want to brush your eyebrows with an eyebrow comb and make sure that any long hairs that you don’t want to be removed don’t end up overlapping the hairs you will be waxing off. Cleanse your skin and apply some powder or corn startch to keep the wax from sticking to your skin. Then apply the wax to the areas where you want to remove the hair. Apply only a little bit, as soon as you press down, the wax will spread and you risk ripping off more hair than you originally intended.

Apply the strip and rub in the direction of hair growth. Rub firmly two or three times. Hold your skin taut with one hand and with the other hand grab the strip at the end end rip it off against the direction of hair growth. You’ll want to rip like you’re pulling a zipper, pull across your skin instead of pulling up.

Do the same for other areas where you want to remove stray hairs. Repeat the process for the other eyebrow. Fine tune and remove stubborn hairs with a pair of tweezers. Afterwards, avoid irritating your skin with makeup brushes or any chemicals or makeup for at least 8 hours.

How To Regrow Thinning Eyebrows?

Posted by: eyebrowgrowth on: July 16, 2009

Fortunately, there are topical products that can accelerate the growth of your eyebrows. These products called eyebrow growth serums, eyebrow growth stimulators, or accelerators work by increasing the amount of hairs that grow during your eyebrow growth phase and by increasing the length of the eyebrow growth phase. Of course results will take time to become noticeable, but after several weeks your eyebrows will be thicker and fuller than ever.

What Affects Eyebrow Growth?

Posted by: eyebrowgrowth on: July 15, 2009

There are several factors that can affect hair growth such as hormone levels and products that can slow down or stop baldness such as Rogaine. However, the eyebrows are one of the few places on the body where hair growth is not determined by levels of circulating hormones. Also, medicines such as Rogaine only work on male pattern type baldness and will not help speed up your eyebrow growth rate.

Another factor that could make your eyebrows grow slowly and thin are hormonal.  For example, hypothyroidism will lead to slow eyebrow hair growth and in fact, one of the early hallmark signs of an underactive thyroid are thin sparse outer eyebrows.  So the tails of your eyebrows will be thinner and patchy compared to the rest of your brows.  This is an indicator that you will need to get your thyroid hormones TSH, T3, and T4 levels checked.  If you are hypothyroid, then medication such as Synthroid, Armour, or raw thyroid supplements will restore your hormone levels to the optimum level.  It will still take several months though for your eyebrow hairs to start regrowing again.

Eyebrow Hair Loss

Many people suffer from thinning or bald patches in their eyebrows. Unfortunately, being located right above our eyes, this is not an area where hairlessness is easy to disguise. Also unfortunately, hairs in this area are also the slowest to grow back on your entire body. In a healthy adult, the normal eyebrow growth cycle for a plucked brow hair to grow back is 56 days.
